LOOK: Top Michigan Football 2026 target has message for fans following Brady Hart decommitment
Michigan lost a huge part of its 2026 recruiting class on Friday when four-star quarterback Brady Hart decommitted. But not only did Hart choose to leave the Wolverines, but he is reclassifying to the 2025 cycle and will sign with Texas A&M. Five-star Bryce Underwood was the top prize for the maize and blue, but losing a talented signal-caller is never easy.
The Wolverines are now down to two commitments in the ’26 cycle with Hart no longer in the fold, but Michigan appears to be in a good position with four-star running back Javian Osborne. On3’s EJ Holland was in Texas on Friday to see Osborne and the Forney (TX) product was decked out in Michigan and his message to the fans was simple: “Go blue baby”.
According to the Composite ranking, Osborne is the 69th-ranked player in the ’26 cycle and the No. 5 running back. According to On3, Texas is in the driver’s seat to land Osborne, but he has good connections with the Wolverines and Michigan will be a tough beat for any school.
Here is Gabe Brooks’ scouting report on Osborne on 247Sports:
High-volume workhorse with huge production as a sophomore. Creative runner in the hole and the first 10-20 yards. Capable of stacking cuts at any level of the defense and bursting to green grass. Runs with impressive initial acceleration. Quick-footed to set up cuts and mask impending redirection. Top-end gear does not match early speed but is not a weakness, as reflected by an encouraging 11.05 100 in Spring 2024. Violent gait that helps shake glancing contact, but might influence balance. Repeatedly showed hop-skip-jump close-quarters evasiveness as a sophomore. Consistency as a run finisher should increase with physical development. Capable pass catcher who ideally will get more reps in that category. Occasionally gathers and gears down slightly when redirecting. In a loaded TXHSFB 2026 RB cycle, has a case for RB1 and is in the discussion entering the 2024 season. Projects as a potential high-major impact player who could develop into a pro prospect down the road.

Best College Football Prop Bets for Michigan vs. Ohio State in Week 14
“The Game” goes down on Saturday, but with less stakes on one side.
After several years of a College Football Playoff level game between Michigan and Ohio State, the Wolverines have cratered in a post National Championship hangover and are catching nearly three touchdowns at rival Ohio State, who is favored to win the National Championship.
Michigan’s offense has been its weak point all season, but Colston Loveland has produced when healthy. Will he be able to fill up the stat sheet in this rivalry matchup?
Meanwhile, look for a clean effort from the Ohio State offense who has a significant talent advantage in this one as it looks to secure a Big Ten title berth with veteran receiver Emeka Egbuka.

Emeka Egbuka OVER 54.5 Receiving Yards
Egbuka had a big outing against Indiana, who runs a ton of zone coverage, catching seven passes for 80 yards in the blowout victory.
Michigan, like Indiana, runs most of its defense through zone coverage, which is where Egbuka thrives.
The pass catcher sees his target share go up by more than five percent against zone coverage with a team high 27%. However, this number is up only four yards from last week despite the big outing.
Give me the over here.
Will Howard UNDER 11.5 Rushing Yards
The strength of the Michigan defense is on the defensive line this season, and Ohio State does have three preseason starters out on the offensive line. While I do think Ohio State can avoid too much havoc from the Wolverines to lose this game, I do think we can see a few sacks from the Michigan front seven, which of course will harm Howard’s rushing yard total.
With a game likely against Oregon on deck with a win in this one, I believe the Buckeyes try to keep Howard clean and not run him too much. Howard had five rushes for -1 yards last week while taking a sack, I can see a similar rushing yard output here.
Colston Loveland OVER 53.5 Receiving Yards
While I expect Michigan to struggle against an elite defense like Ohio State, Loveland has been the only consistent threat in this Wolverines offense that will likely need to throw at a high clip in this game.
Ohio State changes up its coverages a lot, but Loveland is clearly the top target in this group, racking 84 targets on the season. He has at least double digit targets in four games already this season, and I can see similar volume in a game the team is its biggest underdog of the season.

Prepare for snow in Southeast Michigan early Friday morning
A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Friday at 1:29 a.m. EST for snow until 4 a.m. EST for Cass, St. Joseph and Berrien counties.
“Lake enhanced snow showers were causing light snow accumulations over some roads near and north of the Michigan border. Temperatures away from Lake Michigan have fallen several degrees below freezing. Some streets may develop patches of black ice where wet surfaces have frozen. If you are travelling early this morning, be prepared for snow covered and slippery roads,” says the weather service.

Michigan woman cooks Thanksgiving dinners for youth in need
ROYAL OAK, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) — A Michigan woman has spent days preparing Thanksgiving meals for kids in need. She said it’s not the food, but the sense of family that they need most.
“We just want to embrace the youth here and make them part of a larger family,” said Barbara Carter, a residential specialist at Lighthouse Youth Sanctuary, a program for runaway and homeless youth.
Lighthouse offers shelter, essential services and meals. And on Thanksgiving, the meal is special, of course, created by Carter for the program’s young people.
“Some of the youth are able to go home to their families, but there are those that are left behind. And we try to create an environment here that makes kids feel at home,” she said.
She said the meal is a labor of love, as she’s been in this kitchen cooking since Monday. But she said, like any Thanksgiving dinner, it’s about more than what’s on the plate.
“We have a tradition of the youth telling us what they are thankful for on Thanksgiving before we have dinner,” said Carter.
She said over the years the youth returned, feeling grateful for her and Lighthouse.
“It means I’m making a difference,” Carter said.
