Kansas and Texas look to build winning streaks as the end of the 2023-24 regular season approaches.
The Jayhawks took down Oklahoma this past Saturday but have gone 5-5 in their past 10 games. The Longhorns, meanwhile, beat Kansas State this past Monday but are 6-7 in Big 12 play this year.
This will also be the first meeting between the conference foes this year. Kansas sits tied for second in the Big 12 behind Houston and Iowa State, while Texas is tied for eighth.
Kansas’ top threat is center Hunter Dickinson, who averages a double-double this season with 18.2 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. Guard Kevin McCullar Jr. leads the team in scoring, though, with 19.0 points. He also averages 6.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
Texas is led by guard Max Abmas, who joined the Longhorns this season after four years at Oral Roberts and became the 12th player in men’s college basketball history to score at least 3,000 career points. He averages 16.9 points and 4.4 assists per game.
