Cleveland Municipal Court closes Monday after 'cyber incident,' officials say
CLEVELAND — Cleveland Municipal Court will be closed Monday after officials say it was the target of a “cyber incident.”
Officials added that an investigation is underway, and they haven’t confirmed the incident’s nature or its scope.
The court has shut down the affected systems in the meantime as a precautionary measure as officials work on securing and restoring services safely. Systems will remain offline until more is discovered about the cyber threat.
“We take cyber threats extremely seriously and are working expeditiously to rectify the situation as soon as possible,” said a spokesperson for Cleveland Municpal Court.
This is not the first time the City of Cleveland has been the target of a cyber threat in the last year.
In June 2024, Cleveland City Hall was also affected by a cyber attack, which shut down the building for days.
