San Francisco – In a junior welterweight clash, Liam Paro (24-0, 15 KOs) made a big splash in the United States by dropping and stopping Montana Love (18-2-1, 9 KOs) in the sixth round. (photos by Ed Mulholland)

Love was landing good counters on Paro in the first round. Paro was having trouble adjusting to Love’s style of boxing. Paro began to do better in the second with left hands, with Love doing also doing well. The third was close, as both had moments of success.

A close boxing match in the fourth, and the chess match continued in the fifth. Paro was landing the harder punches and being more active, but Love was the more accurate. In the sixth, a big uppercut sent Love crashing to the mat. A moment later, a left hook dropped Love right on his back. Love once again beat the count, but he was being battered with punches against the ropes and finally the referee jumped in to wave off the fight.
