Kittle did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday before being limited on Friday with his rib issue. He’s already missed one game this season.

Warner saw the same fate as Kittle during the week in terms of not practicing the first two days before returning on Friday thanks to a sprained ankle suffered in the second quarter of last week’s matchup for the 49ers.

Prior to that, Warner played nearly every defensive snap for San Francisco.

You don’t have to tell Kyler Murray how good Warner is:

“Fred’s elite. I’ve been on the field with him for a while now, so I look forward to every opportunity I get to play against him,” said Murray previously this week.

The Broncos had a tough start to the season, losing to the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers. However, rookie Bo Nix found some rhythm in Week 3, leading to a big win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Last week, the offense stumbled once again, but the defense stood tall against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets. Despite Denver only reaching the endzone once, it was enough to come away with a 10-9 win. The goal for the Broncos this season is to show signs of improvement after a tough 2023 season. It looks like the team is on the right path.

The Raiders have the expectations to stay around the playoff picture. It certainly has been an up-and-down start to their season. After losing to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, Las Vegas rallied back to upend the Baltimore Ravens. However, the Raiders then lost to the Carolina Panthers in Week 3, before bouncing back to beat the Cleveland Browns last Sunday. Gardner Minshew has been okay at quarterback, but it comes down to how strong the Raiders’ defense is in determining if they have a chance to win.

Since their first meeting in 1960, the Raiders are 73-54-2 against the Broncos, winning each of the last eight matchups.

MY PICK: Broncos win, 20-18

Seattle Mariners Star Hypes Up Crowd at Major College Football Game on Saturday

On Saturday night, the University of Washington football team beat the University of Michigan by a score of 27-17 at Husky Stadium.

Now, the game didn’t have as much meaning as last season’s national championship game, which was won by the Wolverines, but it was still a great win for the Huskies.

First, the unranked Huskies got a win over the No. 10 team in the country. Second, it was the first signature win for Washington as a member of the reimagined Big Ten Conference.

And Seattle Mariners star Julio Rodriguez was in attendance to see it, as he performed the pre-game “Sounding of the Siren” for the crowd.

No matter how Rodriguez plays on the field, it’s readily apparent how much he loves the Seattle community and how much it means to him. He appeared at Washington games last season as the Huskies played their way to the title game, and he’s appeared at Seattle Seahawks games as well.

The 23-year-old Rodriguez is coming off an interesting season for the Mariners, who went 85-77 and missed the playoffs by 1.0 game. He started out incredibly slow and finished incredibly hot. His final numbers are very respectable, as he hit .273 with 20 homers and 24 stolen bases, but he’ll fight for more consistent results in 2025.

One of the best young players in baseball, Rodriguez is already a two-time All-Star and a two-time Silver Slugger. He has 80 career home runs and 86 career stolen bases. He also plays an excellent defensive centerfield.
