Watch Goldendoodle play tag with surprise wild visitor in yard

A Goldendoodle in West Virginia found an unlikely playmate while in his backyard.

Kodak, a 2-year-old Goldendoodle, was filmed playing tag with a deer at his home in Princeton, about 100 miles south of Charleston, by his owner, Chase Bentley.

Video footage shared by Bentley shows the dog running towards the deer, which first runs away from him. After exchanging glances, the deer starts chasing Kodak, and the two can be seen frolicking in the grass.

Doogle gets chased by wild deer in an unexpected game of tag

In Princeton, WV, a 2-year-old doodle named Kodak got a surprise when a wild deer joined him for a game of tag in his front yard.

“Kodak just wanted to play (but) the deer had other plans,” Bentley said, adding he was a little tense while watching the two because he was “scared the deer was going to hurt him.”

Though the wild animals are frequent at his house, this was the first time Kodak played with one, Bentley said.

According to Bentley, Kodak, who has been a part of his family since he was a tiny puppy, loves making new friends and playing with them. This instance was no different.

RMHC of Southern West Virginia receives JPMorganChase investment

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – JPMorganChase is investing $25,000 into Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Southern West Virginia, according to RMHC of Southern West Virginia.

The investment will help meet the growing needs of families with children staying at the hospital, RMHC of Southern West Virginia said.

Today, July 10, the organization said Brooke Field, Executive Director of RMHC of Southern West Virginia, was presented with the check from Randy Morgan of JPMorganChase’s Kentucky and West Virginia Market Leadership Team.

RMHC of Southern West Virginia said it also unveiled its new “Wish Room,” which was built by donations from the bank.

“We created the ‘Wish Room’ to bring moments of joy to families while their children receive life-saving medical care far from home,” Field said in a press release. “Whether it’s a toy for the patient after a tough procedure or a surprise for a sibling who is missing home, these small gifts can bring a much-needed sense of normalcy to families with ill or injured children when they need it most. Thanks to support from partners like Chase, we’re able to give our families a simple reminder that they are not alone.”

The organization also said volunteers from the bank helped stock the room with books and toys for patients and their siblings.

“Ronald McDonald House Charities has touched many lives in Southern West Virginia and beyond,” Morgan said in a press release. “JPMorganChase is so proud to support their mission and help spread joy through the new ‘Wish Room’ so families can focus on what’s most important – each other.”

JPMorganChase’s West Virginia team has been supporting the organization since 2018 through investments and volunteerism, according to the organization.
