Two years ago, former Maryland Delegate Neil Parrott (R) gave incumbent Rep. David Trone (D) a run for his money in a tighter-than-expected House race in Maryland’s 6th Congressional district. Now, a Gonzales poll shows Parrott up by 2 points in a race against his Democratic challenger, April McClain-Delaney. But with 20% of voters still undecided, Parrott is making his case for the seat in a race where abortion and the economy are expected to be the driving issues for voters. Ahead of a required application to state regulators expected by the end of the year, contractor PSEG has identified 10 potential routes for transmission lines regional electrical grid operator PJM says are needed amid power plant retirements and growing demand as part of the controversial Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project. While the exact path is to be determined, the high-voltage lines would stretch approximately 70 miles through farms, parks, neighborhoods, wetlands and forests in Baltimore, Carroll and Frederick counties, from existing transmission lines northeast of Parkton to an existing substation southwest of Frederick. A Taylor Swift-themed corn maze has officially opened in Maryland!

Dubbed “Get Lost In A… Taylor’s Version,” the corn maze features a 300-foot-long guitar, friendship bracelets, and heart-shaped hands.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their phones to scan QR codes along the paths. Completing the maze typically takes 45 minutes to an hour, though a shorter route is available.

Details on prices and schedules are posted online. The maze will remain open until November 3.
