Man Struck, Killed Crossing Louisiana Highway in Wheelchair
SLIDELL, La. (AP) — Louisiana State Police say a person has died after he was struck by a automobile whereas attempting to cross a freeway in a wheelchair.
The deadly crash occurred in St. Tammany Parish on a darkened stretch of U.S. 11 shortly after midnight Friday, the company mentioned in a information launch.
A person utilizing a motorized wheelchair was crossing the freeway when a automobile touring northbound struck him, State Police mentioned. The person died after being taken to a hospital. His title was not instantly launched.
State police mentioned the motive force of the automobile wasn’t injured, and investigators don’t suspect both the motive force or the person who died have been impaired by medicine or alcohol. State police didn’t say whether or not they’re contemplating expenses.

Saucier man identified as motorcyclist killed in crash in Louisiana
LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WLOX) – Saucier native Dustin Craven, 30, has been identified as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash in Louisiana, officials announced on Sunday.
The crash took place during the early morning hours of Sunday on Louisiana Highway 20 near Farmer Lane in Lafourche Parish. Craven, the driver of a 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, was traveling south when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a utility pole, causing him to be ejected.
As a result, Craven received fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
