Mid Valley sixth, seventh and eighth grade students toured the Pennsylvania American Water treatment plant near Lake Scranton. They were given a detailed presentation about the water treatment process that they perform daily.

They also were given the opportunity to design their own water treatment models using various items at the exhibit. Students got a behind-the-scenes look at all the different occupations at Pennsylvania American Water Company that many were unaware of.

Pennsylvania hunting licenses to soon go on sale


Pennsylvania hunters can soon start planning for the upcoming season.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission says 2026-27 general hunting and trapping licenses will go on sale Monday, June 22nd.

The licenses will be valid from July 1st through June 30th of next year.

Hunters can purchase licenses online or at authorized license issuing agents across the state.

The Game Commission is encouraging hunters to verify their account and mailing information before purchasing — to avoid delays.

Antlerless deer licenses also will be available through the state’s licensing system.

Crash in Warminster Township, Pennsylvania, leaves 1 person dead, police say


A crash involving several vehicles and a motorcycle has left one person dead in Warminster Township, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, police said. 

The crash happened in the area of West County Line Road and Greene Avenue, according to police. 

Police are asking people to avoid the area as the investigation into the crash continues.
