College of Maine Cooperative Extension and the Maine Beef Producers Affiliation will host a barbecue 10:45 a.m.–2 p.m. June 4 at Knight Household Farm, 30 Jones Street, Garland.

The “Meet and Greet and Brisket BBQ” is for brand new or skilled farmers keen on beef manufacturing and present beef producers to fulfill different producers and representatives from UMaine Extension and USDA Rural Improvement, Pure Sources Conservation Service and Farm Service Company. Extension assistant professor and state livestock specialist Colt Knight will lead the occasion.
