FIRST ON FOX: Ohio GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno released an ad on the morning of Thursday’s CNN Presidential Debate linking his vulnerable Democrat opponent’s policies to those of President Biden that will be featured on stage in Atlanta.

“Sherrod Brown voted with Biden 99% of the time,” the Moreno ad says as two men ride a tandem bicycle with the license plate JB SB, the initials of Ohio Democratic Gov. Sherrod Brown and President Biden, in Washington, D.C.

“Sherrod Brown & Biden combined 100 years in office,” the new ad says. “Sherrod Brown & Biden oppose a border wall.”

The ad also says the pair “support amnesty for illegals” and that “prices are up 20%” in the Brown and Biden economy.

“Don’t let extreme liberals Sherrod Brown and Joe Biden take America for a ride,” the ad says at the close before Brown and Biden crash their bicycle.

The Moreno campaign also unveiled JustLikeBiden.com on Thursday, where information on the similarities between Biden and Brown’s policies can be found underneath a banner that reads, “Sherrod Brown is always ridin’ with Biden.”

“Sherrod Brown said it best: his politics are not much different than Joe Biden’s,” Moreno Communications Director Reagan McCarthy told Fox News Digital in a statement. 

“Brown votes with Biden almost 100% of the time and has helped create the invasion at our southern border, a dismal economy with record-high inflation, and a war on American energy. The Biden-Brown agenda is failing Ohio and Ohioans will retire them both in November.”

Fox News Digital reached out to the Brown campaign for comment but did not receive a response.

Brown’s race against Moreno in November will be one of the most closely watched in the country. Many view it as one of the best opportunities Republicans have to take back control of the Senate, which Democrats currently hold by a 51-49 margin. 

The Cook Political Report ranks the Senate race in Ohio as a “toss up.”

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Michigan is all set to put another $40 million to help continue funding free school meals for all public school students regardless of income.

So, to understand how the community feels about it, I went and spoke to parents in both Oakland and Wayne counties.

The first question I asked was: how often they use the program?

“We are about 50-50 utilizing it,” said Markeesha. “Our kids are not really found of what the school offers as far as lunches. They don’t really utilize breakfast because they typically eat a good breakfast at home. But as far as lunches they say they are really mediocre.”

“Some days more than others, based on the offerings,” said Justin. “We want to make sure there is always the option for them to have additional food if there is anything they want to buy.”

“If there is a meal the kids like, then they get to choose that. Usually, we tell them two meals a week; the rest are kind of from home,” said Jon. “I think it is probably good for some of the students or residents that maybe need that assistance; I don’t know if it’s for everybody…my concern mostly is the nutritional value of it.”

“I think kids should be able to go to school and not worry about food,” said Meggan.

“On average, for the school year, $50, and without school lunch, it has probably been $250,” said Jessica. “And fortunately, we can afford that there are parents out there that cannot.”

When asked what kids usually get with their school lunch, the meals usually consist chicken sandwiches, a vegetable and milk.

“It’s usually a main item, an entree, a hamburger, pizza, or something like that, then there is a veggie and a fruit option and a drink,” Jon said.

What about dietary restrictions or religious needs, is that a concern?

“Well, generally, the schools consider that when they prepare meals,” Meggan said. “My kids are vegetarians, and pretty much now, camps and programs that serve food have vegetarian options.”

If there is any kind of food you would like to see added on to the menu, what would that be?

“Turkey sandwich,” said Max.

Would you like every school district to have a unified menu?

“That sounds great to me,” said Kevin. “Like let’s say a more affluent city, they have better food options vs those in a lesser situation, so a unified menu would level the food Plainfield.”

“That would be nice,” Markeesha said.

Where Your Voice Matters

MILWAUKEE — Brice Turang hit Milwaukee’s fifth grand slam in its last eight games as part of a seven-run fourth inning, and the Brewers rolled to a 7-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday.

Freddy Peralta (6-4) and Jakob Junis combined on a two-hitter to help the NL Central-leading Brewers win their ninth consecutive home series. Milwaukee hasn’t dropped a series at American Family Field since the New York Yankees took two of three from April 26-28.

The Brewers became the second team in major league history to hit five grand slams in an eight-game span, joining San Diego in 2020.

“We just have to keep doing what we’ve been doing,” Peralta said. “Probably some people around don’t see us — at the end of the season, they don’t see us being in a good spot — or probably in spring training they didn’t expect us to be where we are right now. But we’re the Brewers, and we’ve been doing this for like the last six years.”

Milwaukee’s highest-scoring inning of the season backed up a sparkling performance from Peralta, who worked seven innings and retired his last 14 batters.

After Nico Hoerner sent Peralta’s second pitch of the game over the left field wall, the right-hander bore down and struck out eight while allowing only two hits and two walks. Junis walked one over the final two innings.

Christian Yelich hit a 422-foot, two-run home run in the fourth off Kyle Hendricks to put Milwaukee ahead. With one out, Cubs right fielder Ian Happ misjudged a fly ball from Rhys Hoskins, who was credited with a single.

“I kind of had a good bead on it, and it turned and moved a long way, kind of towards left-center there on its way down,” Happ said. “I probably wasn’t in a great spot. I kind of thought it was going to be more up against the wall over there, and I got turned around. Obviously not my best moment out there and it puts Kyle in a tough spot.”

Sal Frelick followed with an RBI base hit, and with two outs, Turang sent his drive over the right-field wall to end Hendricks’ day.

It was Turang’s second grand slam in his last five games and his sixth home run of the season, matching his total as a rookie last year.

“I worked extremely hard to get back to my swing,” said Turang, who is batting .292 this season after hitting .218 as a rookie last year. “I lifted in the gym. That’s where you’re going to get the strength. I’m not trying to crush, or hit homers. I’m trying to hit the ball hard back up the middle and just square it up. Good things happen when you’re focused like that on trying to hit the ball back up the middle.”

Turang started Milwaukee’s flurry of grand slams on June 22 in the ninth inning of a 6-4 loss at San Diego. Three of his 12 career home runs have come with the bases loaded.

Hendricks (1-6) gave up 7 runs and 7 hits in 3 2/3 innings while striking out 3 and walking 1.
