The Iowa Hawkeyes already handed out a dozen offers to 2025 prospects to begin the June contact period. Now, there’s another name to add to the equation for the Hawks.
Iowa offered class of 2025 forward and center Luke Bevilacqua out of the George School in Newtown, Pa. Currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 class, Bevilacqua has seen his stock start to soar throughout this June contact period.
In addition to the Hawkeyes, Bevilacqua tracked down another Big Ten offer from Penn State on June 17. Per 247Sports’ Dushawn London, Bevilacqua is also receiving interest from Ohio State and Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-11, 230 pound forward and center also has offers from Cal State Bakersfield, Fairfield, Saint Joseph’s, St. John’s, UTEP and Xavier.
As London detailed in his recent piece for 247Sports, it’s Bevilacqua’s performances at events like the DMV live event at Dematha Catholic that has started to turn heads. He finished with 23 points, four rebounds and a pair of blocks in that DMV live showing.
“My process has been amazing,” Bevilacqua told 247Sports’ London of his development. “I love to work, get in the gym and weight room with coach Luber. I have a really nice schedule at the George School where it’s flexible so I can get in before classes, during lunch and after school. I have the perfect schedule to build and work my butt off.”
As his recruitment is starting to heat up, it seems like the Pennsylvania big is really enjoying the process of finding his collegiate destination.
“My recruitment has been going pretty well. A few new programs have reached out and I love talking and going through the recruitment process,” Bevilacqua said.
He hopes there’s something about his game that is obvious to the coaches recruiting him.
“Hopefully I showed coaches that I play hard and work. I love to work, push myself, and push my teammates. Whenever I’m on the court I put my all into my game,” Bevilacqua said.
Here’s a look at the Pennsylvania big’s game. Plus, his full recruiting profile is below.
