Colts D/ST steady in Week 6

by Chris Schommer | Colts Correspondent | Sun, Oct 13th 7:51pm EDT

The Colts D/ST forced one turnover (one interception) in a Week 6 win over the Titans.

Fantasy Impact:

The unit was able to make key stops when called upon in Week 6, holding the Titans to less than 250 total offensive yards in a winning effort. The defense will look to take advantage of a Miami Dolphins offense missing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) in Week 7.

Taking public transit to Taylor Swift? Make sure you have time to catch it after the concert.

play

If you plan to go to the Taylor Swift concert on Nov. 1, 2 or 3, make sure you have a plan for getting to and from Lucas Oil Stadium.

Upwards of 200,000 people are expected to be in downtown Indianapolis over the three nights of concerts, meaning lots of congested roads, high rideshare prices and the potential for travel headaches.

While you can use public transportation to get to the concerts, the same lines may not be running after late night shows.

A spokesperson for IndyGo said bus schedules and routes would not be changed the weekend Swift is in town.

Here’s what to know about IndyGo travel options.

How late does IndyGo run?

Swift’s concerts typically run more than three hours not including the opening act. Assuming an 8 p.m. start time, that means concerts will likely let out around 11:30 p.m. Here’s what IndyGo public transit options are available that late at night.

The Red and Purple Lines

Red Line buses run every 15 to 20 minutes and have many stops downtown not too far of a walk to the stadium. Purple Line buses, which started running Oct. 13, stop downtown at the transit center and the Statehouse.

On Friday and Saturdays, the Red Line runs south to County Line Road and north to 66th Street until 1 a.m., leaving plenty of time to get home after the concert. Likewise, the Purple Line runs northeast to Fort Ben until 1 a.m.

But fans who take the Red or Purple Line to the concert on Nov. 3 should plan a different way home. Both rapid bus lines stop running at 10 p.m. on Sundays.

Bus routes

Bus routes will operate as normal Nov. 1, 2 and 3. Most routes run until midnight every night.

Find bus routes and schedules on IndyGo’s website.

What about rideshares?

City officials say they are working with rideshare companies, such as Uber and Lyft, to make pick-up and drop-off as smooth as possible. Still, plan extra time to get to the stadium and expect to wait after the concert for available drivers due to surge pricing on the apps.

Keep an eye out for more details on dedicated areas for rideshare services and passenger pick-up outside Lucas Oil Stadium.

Titans RB Leaves Game With Injury

Titans RB Leaves Game With Injury

The Tennessee Titans are locked into a hard-fought battle against the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts so far today. In the third quarter, they were able to take a 17-10 lead.

With the game looking like it will be close all the way through, the Titans have suffered a concerning injury.

As shared by Turran Davenport of ESPN, running back Tyjae Spears is questionable to return to the game. He is reportedly dealing with a hamstring injury.

Spears is a big piece for the Tennessee offense. He hasn’t been utilized this season as much as was expected, but he’s still important offensive depth behind Tony Pollard at the running back position.

Coming into today’s game, Spears had carried the football 27 times for 87 yards and a touchdown in four games. He had also chipped in with 12 receptions for 76 yards.

In today’s game before the injury, Spears had picked up 27 yards on six carries.

This will be something to keep an eye on. Without Spears on the field, the backup running back ends up being Julius Chestnut. The 23-year-old back has been with the Titans throughout his entire three-year career thus far.

Only time will tell what this injury ends up being for Spears. It’s a developing situation and we will make sure to share updates as they become available.

Hopefully, it’s nothing serious and he’ll either be able to return in this game against the Colts or next week. If he’s forced to miss time, Tennessee might consider exploring other running back options to add depth behind Pollard.

At this point in time, the Titans have a lot to be excited about. They have played well so far against Indianapolis. Should they be able to continue their strong play and pick up a win, they would be right back in the mix of things in the AFC playoff race.

Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts score today: Live updates, stats, how to watch, game predictions

The Tennessee Titans return from the open date to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at Nissan Stadium in an AFC South clash.

Will Levis does not have an injury designation and will start for the Titans (1-3) on Sunday after missing the final three quarters of the Sept. 30 game against the Miami Dolphins. The bye week came at a opportune time for Levis and for defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, who missed the Miami game with an elbow injury but also does not have an injury designation.

Indianapolis (2-3) has injury concerns all across the lineup. QB Anthony Richardson (oblique) missed last week’s loss at Jacksonville with an oblique injury and is questionable for Sunday’s game, though the NFL Network reported that he should play against the Titans. Wide receivers Josh Downs (toe) and Michael Pittman (back) both are questionable, but ESPN reported Saturday that both players are trending toward playing on Sunday.

Colts defensive back Kenny Moore (hip and shoulder) is yet another difference maker with a questionable designation. Jonathan Taylor is out again with an ankle injury, while defensive tackle DeForest Buckner has been on injured reserve since Week 2 with a high-ankle sprain and won’t be active.

Tennessee has a prime opportunity against a divisional opponent at home on Sunday with road trips to Buffalo and Detroit upcoming.

Titans beat reporter Nick Suss’ prediction: Titans 24, Colts 20

It’s hard to put too much faith in an unproven Titans’ offense. But the Colts’ defense is struggling a little bit too much right now. Levis and his teammates look as good as they have through the air since his debut and the Titans’ defense makes just enough plays to come away with an AFC South win.

Inactives will be announced at 10:30 a.m. CT on Sunday. For now, here’s the full injury report for the two teams heading into the game.

Titans injury report

  • DL Keondre Coburn (knee) — Out
  • LB Cedric Gray (shoulder) — Out

Colts injury report

  • RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) — Out
  • QB Anthony Richardson (oblique) — Questionable
  • WR Michael Pittman Jr. (back) — Questionable
  • WR Josh Downs (toe) — Questionable
  • OL Braden Smith (knee and ankle) — Questionable
  • DB Kenny Moore (hip and shoulder) — Questionable

Tickets for Sunday’s game on StubHub are priced from $51 before fees.

The National Weather Service forecast for Sunday in Nashville calls for warm temperatures and some wind during the afternoon. The kickoff temperature is forecasted at 83 degrees during a mostly sunny day with winds out of the west at 13 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Sunday’s high temperature is forecasted to be 88 degrees, per the NWS.
