The Detroit Tigers positioned Miguel Cabrera on the 10-day injured record Sunday with a left biceps pressure.
The transfer is retroactive to Saturday for the 39-year-old designated hitter and first baseman.
Cabrera is batting .256 with 4 homers and 37 RBIs in 102 video games in his twentieth 12 months within the majors.
The 12-time All-Star and two-time American League MVP has 506 profession homers and three,079 hits.
Detroit supervisor A.J. Hinch advised reporters after Saturday’s sport, a 12-2 loss to the Kansas Metropolis Royals, that the transfer didn’t essentially sign the top of Cabrera’s season.

DETROIT – “Get Out the Vote” events are taking place across Detroit.
The events feature special guests, entertainment, activities for children and families, food trucks, games, prizes, and more.
Residents will be able to cast their ballots early for the upcoming Aug. 6 election.

Detroit works to get out the early vote ahead of Michigan primaries
Detroit threw a block party to celebrate early voting in the city on July 27.
DETROIT, Mich. (FOX 2) – Live entertainment, games and giveaways combined July 27 in Detroit as the city celebrated the first day of 2024’s early voting.
Rapper G-Mac Cash, and City Clerk Janice Winfrey were encouraging people to get out and vote during the 9-day window of early voting leading up to the Aug. 6 primary election.
Winfrey said early voting centers will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for all nine days, with no exceptions.
