TRUMPF Posts Record Revenue in its Anniversary Year

Ditzingen, Germany July 20, 2023 – In its centennial year, the TRUMPF Group generated considerable revenue growth. Based on preliminary calculations, revenue in the fiscal year 2022/23 (balance sheet date June 30, 2023) came in at 5.4 billion euros (fiscal year 2021/22: 4.2 billion euros).

Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TRUMPF

In the domestic market of Germany, revenue rose sharply by more than 30 percent to some 770 million euros (previous year: 589 million euros). In the U.S., TRUMPF continued the strong growth of the previous year, posting revenue of some 900 million euros (previous year: 649 million euros). The strongest Asian market was China with revenue of some 600 million euros (previous year: 575 million euros).

Furthermore, German high-tech company TRUMPF is starting the new fiscal year with a bulging order book: incoming orders once again surpassed the five-billion-euro mark at 5.1 billion euros, but were down by some 9 percent on the peak level of the previous year. (Fiscal year 2021/22: 5.6 billion euros).

Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TRUMPF, remarked: “Despite ongoing difficult conditions, we achieved an outstanding fiscal year in our centennial. Nevertheless, we have been witnessing a decline in orders in recent months due to the global economic slowdown. As such, we are entering the new fiscal year with due caution in spite of a solid order book.”

Cleveland Guardians Avoid Arbitration With Playoff Hero, Per Report

Thursday was a busy day for the Cleveland Guardians and all teams across baseball. Many players and organizations agreed on contracts to avoid going to arbitration to settle a salary for the 2025 season.

The Guardians were able to come to terms with OF Lane Thomas, who was one of Cleveland’s playoff heroes during their run in 2024.

Thomas and the Guardians agreed on a one-year $7.825 million deal, per multiple reports.

There were some trade rumors earlier this offseason that the Guardians were fielding calls for the veteran outfielder heading into his last season of team control.

For now, it appears Thomas will be with the Guardians for 2025.

The Guardians initially acquired Thomas at the 2024 trade deadline for a package of minor-league prospects. It took a while for the 29-year-old to settle in with Cleveland, but once he did, Thomas was one of Cleveland’s hottest hitters in their lineup.

Thomas hit .264/.295/.560 in September of last season and caught fire once the playoffs started.

He hit a three-run homer in the first inning of Game 1 of the ALDS against the Detroit Tigers and then a go-ahead grand slam in Game 5 off eventual Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal.

Both of those plays were some of the top moments from the entire Guardians season.

The Guardians still have plenty of questions regarding their outfield depth, so having Thomas in the equation heading into the season is a big advantage. He very well could be Cleveland’s Opening Day center fielder at the end of March.

Cavs Beat Thunder in Historic Battle Called a Potential NBA Finals Preview by Fans

NBA fans might have gotten an early look at this year’s Finals on Wednesday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 129-122 in one of the most exciting games of the season thus far. Heading into the contest, there had never been a team on a 15-game win streak face off against a team on a 10-game win streak. Ultimately, it was Cleveland that kept its win streak going as it made it 11 in a row.

The game was highlighted by a plethora of lead changes, but Cleveland had the edge heading down the stretch. The Thunder got right back into the game, however, cutting the Cavs’ lead to just two points with a minute and a half to play.

Cleveland, feeding off a rowdy home crowd, held strong on defense, though, while also getting the shots it needed on the offensive end to escape with the win.

It was a slow night for Cavs star Donovan Mitchell, who had just 11 points, but Cleveland’s frontcourt stepped up as Jarrett Allen had 25 points, 12 boards and six assists while Evan Mobley had 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a big night with 31 points, but it wasn’t enough to carry his team past the Cavs.

28 lead changes and 7 ties in the Cavs vs Thunder game. These are the two best teams in the association currently

Henry Ettinger @hedging_henry

Have the Cavs and Thunder been more than like 8 points apart this entire game? This game rocks.

This Thunder-Cavs game is BOX OFFICE. Looks like a Finals preview.

The Cavaliers now hold the best record in the NBA at 31-4 and have all the makings of a Finals team. While the Thunder dropped to 30-5 with the loss, they’re still in the driver’s seat in the Western Conference.

Cleveland and Oklahoma City will meet again in just over a week, and the second contest should be just as interesting as the first.
