CLEVELAND, OH — One of the longest-standing rivalries in sports writes another chapter on Sunday, as the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers square off in a crucial matchup.

These two have already played this season, as a series of big plays on defense helped the Steelers come away with a 26-22 at home on Monday Night Football in Week 2. Dating back to their first meeting in 1950, Pittsburgh is 81-62-1 against the Browns.
Thanks to both team’s resiliency throughout the season, Cleveland and Pittsburgh are tied for second in the AFC North, one game back of the Baltimore Ravens.
The Browns are coming off a big win over the Ravens last Sunday. A finally healthy Deshaun Watson played like his former self, while four Dustin Hopkins field goals, including one as time expired, sent Cleveland to a 33-31 win. The Browns are victorious in four of their last five games, using a healthy mix of solid offense and stout defense to put them on a path to the playoffs.
The Steelers also have a win over Baltimore, winning a rough 17-10 contest in Week 5. Games like that are the reason Pittsburgh is in the running for the playoffs. Their four-point win against the lowly Green Bay Packers last Sunday marked back-to-back wins for the black and gold, and they are the only team in the past 90 years to have been outgained in every game, but still have a winning record. Obviously, it’s not a stat the Steelers can be proud of, but the defense, that has allowed over 20 points just three times, has been Mike Tomlin’s bread and butter.

Guardians recall another hot-hitting prospect to join big league roster; OF heads to injured list
CLEVELAND, Ohio — On the heels of Jhonkensy Noel’s smashing debut Wednesday, the Guardians have recalled another hot-hitting prospect from Triple-A Columbus to join the major league roster. It’s a face already familiar to the big league crew.
Infielder José Tena, ranked as Cleveland’s No. 22 prospect by MLB Pipeline, will join the Guardians for their series opener in Kansas City tonight, a club source confirmed to cleveland.com. Outfielder Will Brennan has been placed on the 10-day injured list, according to the club.
Additionally, right-hander Darren McCaughan has been recalled from Columbus and righty Xzavion Curry has been optioned back to Triple-A.
Tena, 23, made his major league debut in August of 2023 and appeared in 18 games for the Guardians, batting .226 with 13 strikeouts in 34 plate appearances. But the Dominican native has been on a tear lately in Columbus, totaling six home runs and 23 RBI while batting .296 during the month of June.

Tena is slugging .480 with an .821 OPS in 73 games this season.
Fewer than 24 hours ago, Tena was in the Columbus clubhouse during a rain delay, celebrating with his teammates as Noel launched his first career big league home run into the bullpens at Camden Yards. Now, Tena will be back in Cleveland’s clubhouse as the Guardians take on Kansas City in an important American League Central Division matchup.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A man was killed after colliding with a tractor-trailer at East 41st Street and Payne Avenue Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2:25 pm.
According to Cleveland EMS, the man was taken to MetroHealth Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Cleveland Police’s AUI unit is investigating the accident.

CLEVELAND (WJW) – A Northeast Ohio native and University of Akron alum is officially joining the NBA.
Enrique Freeman was picked by the Indiana Pacers during Round 2 of the NBA Draft Thursday evening. He was the 50th pick overall.
Freeman, who previously played for Cleveland’s St. Martin De Porres High School, is a 6′ 7″ power forward whose draft stock kept rising since the draft combine.
While playing for the Zips, according to the NBA, Freeman became a four-time MAC All-Defensive team member, two-time First-Team All-MAC member and two-time MAC Tournament MVP (2022, 2024). He also won 2022 MAC Defensive Player of the Year.
During his last season in college, Freeman averaged 18.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.7 blocks and 0.8 steals.
