CASPER, Wyo. — Casper area community members will be able to learn more about and share their thoughts on the upcoming North Platte Park Utilities Project at a July 24 informational meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. in the Summit Room of the Ford Wyoming Center.
The project should begin this month and conclude in April 2026. New sanitary sewer and storm sewer infrastructure will be installed to support the future development of the site, located north of Events Drive, across from the Wyoming Sports Ranch and Ford Wyoming Center.
“This is a critical investment in infrastructure that will enable continued economic development here in Casper,” said City of Casper Chief Operating Officer Tom Brauer.
Western Municipal Construction of Wyoming, Inc., has been awarded the work as the project contractor, with WLC Engineering serving as the project engineer.
The $4.5 million project is being funded through a combination of Wyoming Business Council funds, including a $4,168,000 grant and loan package and $370,000 from the City’s sewer reserve funds.
At the July 24 meeting, project team members will be available to provide an overview of the project, answer questions, and share further information about construction timelines, impacts, and other questions the public may have.
