Northern Iowa wrestling’s dual against Utah Valley on Saturday has been canceled due to the inclement weather.
Utah Valley had made the trip out to Iowa for a dual against Iowa State the day prior, suffering a loss to the Cyclones on Friday. That dual was pushed up from 7 p.m. to 5 p.m. to attempt to get ahead of the blowing snow and freezing temperatures that gripped the state over the weekend. However, road conditions have still continued to be treacherous leading into Saturday afternoon, leading to this cancelation.
Per a UNI spokesperson, the dual is unlikely to be rescheduled. The Panthers will be back competing next Saturday, hosting the UNI Open in the UNI-Dome.
