Body found underneath 210 Freeway in Irwindale

Authorities are investigating after a body was found underneath a freeway overpass in Irwindale on Wednesday.

Irwindale police responded to reports of an unresponsive man on the 2300 block of Central Avenue at around 1:44 p.m.

Arriving officers found the man lying on a dirt road adjacent to the Los Angeles County Flood Control Bradbury Channel underneath the 210 Freeway. 

The man, who was unresponsive, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The cause of death remains unclear and under investigation by detectives. His identity will be released pending an investigation by the L.A. County Coroner’s Office.

Hospital needs help identifying man found unconscious in downtown Los Angeles

A hospital needs help identifying a male patient who was found injured and unconscious in downtown Los Angeles.

The man is believed to be in his 30s, according to the Los Angeles General Medical Center. 

He was found injured on the ground on Omar Street and has been hospitalized since June 22.

He stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 176 pounds. He has brown eyes, dark brown hair and tattoos across his upper body.

He did not have any personal belongings to help staff identify him or contact loved ones. Workers did not disclose the nature of his injuries.
