  • East Fork Road
  • Glendora Ridge Road
  • Glendora Mountain Road

“Today, firefighters faced steep terrain with difficult access points,” the Forest Service said. “Despite this challenge, ground crews were able to construct handline and put a hoselay at the heel of the fire bringing the fire containment to 30%.”

The Forest Service said crews would work through the night to gain containment, and helicopters were dumping water on the flames in the evening. In all, 181 fire personnel were battling the blaze.

No structures were threatened as of Saturday night. There was no word on injuries or threat to life, besides on photo shared online by officials showing a hoist operation being made. The condition of the person rescued was not immediately made available.
