A crash in Rancho Cucamonga has left two teenagers dead and one hospitalized after the vehicle they were traveling in crashed into a utility pole on Friday.

Authorities say the three teens were going west on Wilson Avenue when the driver lost control just as they passed Haven Avenue around 4:25 p.m. The car collided with an electric power pole and then hit a tree.

When emergency responders arrived on the scene, they attempted to provide medical assistance to the victims. Despite the attempts, the 17-year-old male driver and a 15-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead.

A 17-year-old male passenger was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. There are unconfirmed reports that three victims were students at nearby Los Osos High School.
