Teen, his dad arrested in shooting deaths of pregnant Savanah Soto, 18, and boyfriend Matthew Guerra

A 19-year-old and his father were arrested and charged Wednesday night in connection to the murders of pregnant Texas teen Savanah Soto and her boyfriend Matthew Guerra, who were gunned down in a drug deal gone bad last month, police said.

Christopher Preciado, 19, and his father Ramon Preciado, 53, were nabbed by San Antonio police more than a week after the young woman and her beau were killed from gunshot wounds to the head.

Soto, 18, and Guerra, 22, were found dead on Dec. 26 in a car outside an apartment complex in San Antonio. Their unborn baby was also declared dead.

Christopher was charged with capital murder while Ramon is facing charges of abuse of a corpse, police said. More charges are pending.

“It appears to be a narcotics-related deal that went bad,” said police sergeant Washington Moscoso during a press briefing late Wednesday.

Soto vanished on Dec. 22 – a day before she was scheduled to be induced into labor.

She was reported missing by family members when she did not show up to her appointment at Stone Oak Methodist Hospital.

San Antonio cops previously released surveillance footage of two persons of interest near the crime scene.

The video shows one suspect behind the wheel of the victims’ Kia Optima, pulling up in a parking lot to a dark pickup truck driven by the other suspect.

Christopher is accused of killing the two victims while his father allegedly only helped move the bodies following their deaths to another location, police said.

Authorities believe Soto and Guerra were killed around midnight on Dec. 21.

Soto’s cell phone was recovered by investigators, which proved to be crucial, Moscoso said.

Cops were able to trace a possible location where the suspects’ vehicle, as seen in the surveillance footage, might be, he said.

Both suspects were walked out of the police station in front of local media late Wednesday.

Police also made clear they are no longer looking for other suspects.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the Soto and Guerra families,” the department said on social media.
