Titans land in lower half of CBS Sports’ Triplets rankings

A lot of the dialogue surrounding the Tennessee Titans this offseason has been the crew’s choice to commerce celebrity vast receiver A.J. Brown in the course of the 2022 NFL draft.

The Titans used one of many picks from the Philadelphia Eagles to take Arkansas vast receiver Treylon Burks with the No. 18 general decide.

The transfer was puzzling, on condition that the Titans’ major goal heading into subsequent season was to encompass quarterback Ryan Tannehill with extra weapons after a down 12 months in 2021.

CBS Sports activities lately ranked every crew’s offensive triplet forward of 2022 and pegged the trio of quarterback Ryan Tannehill, operating again Derrick Henry and vast receiver Treylon Burks because the No. 19 group, which positioned them within the “extra questions than solutions” tier of the rankings.

How a lot larger would these guys rank with A.J. Brown as a substitute of Burks? Quite a bit, methinks. How a lot larger than that might they rank had Henry not missed a giant chunk of final season with a foot damage? Would they be a risk to crack the highest 10? Can’t rule it out.

As a lot as I disagreed with CBS Sports activities’ evaluation of the Titans’ protection being ‘considerably unlikely’ to complete as a top-10 unit, I can’t say that I disagree with the triplet rankings right here. If something, possibly veteran wideout Robert Woods replaces Burks alongside Henry and Tannehill.

The Titans’ success in 2022 might be predicated on the offense’s means to maneuver the soccer.

Henry returned for Tennessee’s playoff sport towards the Cincinnati Bengals, however he was largely held in examine, dashing for 62 yards on 20 makes an attempt and a landing.

By all accounts, Henry might be 100% come Week 1 of the 2022 season. If his offseason exercise movies are any indication, “The King” might be prepared and motivated to steer the league in dashing once more.

That stated, given the turnover on the vast receiver place — and lack of NFL expertise — it’s not troublesome to understand why CBS Sports activities believes the Titans have extra questions than solutions heading into subsequent season.

In ESPN’s Heather Dinich’s projected College Football Playoff rankings heading into the final week of the regular season, she has exactly this happening.

TALK ABOUT IT IN THE ROCKY TOP FORUM

Dinich has this as the 8-seed and 9-seed game. With Georgia as the 8-seed, it opens the door for it to host a playoff game.

Unlike the NCAA Tournament in men’s and women’s basketball, there are no restrictions on teams in the same conference playing each other in the first game of the playoffs.

On the ground, Dylan Sampson ran for 101 yards and a touchdown. Kitselman also ran for a score.

Georgia was led by Carson Beck who completed 25-of-40 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns.

Childhelp delivers Thanksgiving food baskets to 200 families in East Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Childhelp Tennessee spent Sunday afternoon delivering Thanksgiving food baskets to 200 families across Knoxville and East Tennessee as a part of the annual Thanksgiving Basket Brigade.

Chad Schollaert, a Childhelp board member, said the boxes primarily went to foster families, where there’s a greater need for donations.

“Foster children, a lot of times they’re not coming from a stable environment. So, having a Thanksgiving meal with a family is extremely important and so is just being able to show stability and family atmosphere,” Schollaert said.

Schollaert said an effort like this takes months of planning and coordinating both meals and volunteers ahead of the big day.

“It’s been an effort for the last several months getting coordinating volunteers to deliver the meals, getting the meals. I know the staff here at Childhelp have been talking to board members and recruiting others to deliver the boxes,” Schollaert said.

Schollaert added that Childhelp is always looking for more volunteers because the more volunteers they have, the more children get help. He also said there are several other events and fundraising opportunities throughout the year. Click here for more information.
