Sarr Records Top-20 Upset
Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina men’s tennis completed its second day of action at the Gamecock Kickoff with freshman Jelani Sarr recording the first Top-20 win of his career.
Sarr battled against No. 17 Kenta Miyoshi of Illinois where he looked strong against his higher-ranked counterpart. The Gamecock freshman took the first set 6-3 and came back to claim the second 6-4 for the win. Sarr now has a total of four ranked wins on his resume with this one being the highest.
He was the only Gamecock to record a win on the day with Sean Daryabeigi falling to No. 46 Hunter Heck, Lucas Andrade da Silva falling to No. 55 Karlis Ozolins and Carter Morgan falling in three sets to Will Mroz.

SC invests nearly $1M into Darlington pump station upgrade
DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — The City of Darlington received a $957,000 grant from the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) to upgrade the Woodcreek Pump Station.
The project eliminates the current station on Country Club Road and will flow to the Woodcreek pump station while it is being renovated.
The city said that this will better serve those who live within the Darlington County Club by utilizing newer technology.
