Miami Beach Is So Over Spring Break
Miami Beach is trying to break up with spring break, but it’s not yet clear whether spring break will take the hint. After three consecutive years of spring break violence, Miami Beach officials are implementing monthlong security measures aimed at curbing the chaos, including parking restrictions for non-residents and closing sidewalk cafes on busy weekends. The city has warned visitors to expect curfews, bag searches at the beach, early beach closures, DUI checkpoints, and arrests for drug possession and violence, the AP reports. But business owners in the city’s world-famous South Beach neighborhood are now concerned that they’ll lose money during one of the busiest times of the year, and civil rights advocates say the restrictions are an overreaction to large Black crowds.
Many of the city’s restrictions aren’t new, but in past years, they were instituted as emergency measures during the unofficial holiday—not measures put in place ahead of time. “The status quo and what we’ve seen in the last few years is just not acceptable, not tolerable,” Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner said. Meiner said crowds have become unmanageable despite a robust police presence. He said the city, which is situated on a barrier island across the bay from Miami, can only hold so many people, and that capacity has often exceeded what’s safe for both visitors and residents during the break. Wild photos show Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs eating food of a naked woman at one of his celeb-packed parties
Wild, newly resurfaced photos show accused sex trafficker Sean “Diddy” Combs eating food off a naked woman from one of his notorious celeb-packed parties.
The disgraced Bad Boy Records founder, then 34, was seen eating a chocolate-covered strawberry from the body of a nude woman, who was lying on a table with food stacked on and around her, the snaps first obtained by TMZ show.
Aside from the food, only a strategically placed green leaf covered the naked woman’s most intimate area.
The photos were taken at a 2004 Miami party with a star-studded crowd including Diana Ross, Owen Wilson, Bruce Willis, and Will Smith, all of whom appeared unfazed by the racy food display.
The splashy party is a far cry from Combs’ current accommodation — at the notoriously tough Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, where he has been held without bail since his Sept. 16 arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
A damning federal indictment alleged that the rapper abused, threatened, and coerced women to “fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.”
The allegations against Combs — who was caught on video brutally beating ex-girlfriend CassieVentura — go back to at least 2008, the documents said.
When federal agents raided Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles earlier this year, they found 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube that were allegedly used during “freak off” sex sessions.
Combs’ lawyer, however, said his client simply preferred to buy in bulk from the chain store Costco.
The rap mogul has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and is eager to testify at trial, his legal team said.
