Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic to return for Dallas’ game vs. Blazers


Mavericks coach Jason Kidd provided an injury update ahead of the team’s game against the Portland Trailblazers.

Luka Doncic is back.

Kidd said before the game that Doncic would be a game-time decision, but the team announced Doncic was set to return to the lineup. The Mavericks coach also said Kyrie Irving would miss his second game of the season as the Mavs try to get a win on the second night of a back-to-back.

Doncic last played on November 19 against the Pelicans, but hasn’t played since due to a wrist sprain.

Earlier in the day, the team announced Klay Thompson (left foot plantar fascia), Naji Marshall (illness) and Dereck Lively II (right knee hyperextension) would miss tonight’s game, but listed Kyrie Irving (right shoulder soreness) and Luka Doncic (right wrist sprain) as questionable.

After facing failure and disappointment after every match, in Week 13 they shocked everyone after defeating the New York Giants and winning by 27-20.

Even though the Dallas Cowboys has managed to disappoint its fans every match, the fans remained supportive and empathetic towards the team. This support when translated into numbers became 38.5 million viewers who decided that the best way to spend this year’s Thanksgiving would be to watch the NFL match between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants with their families.

Many people would have thought that probably 2024 had the highest number of viewers tuning in to watch a match on Thanksgiving but that is not the case. Even 2023 managed to record a comparatively lower viewership. It was a Thanksgiving match between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants that hold the record for highest viewership of around 42.06 million – an impressive record that has not been broken yet.

Experts believe these numbers signify that the Dallas Cowboys fans have not yet given up on their teams even though they had a disastrous run this season. Fans are thrilled about the win and continue to pray that the players of the Dallas Cowboys keep the momentum going and as one may never know, also win the Championship for the state.
