AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – If you love local coffee, the Augusta Coffee Trail is the right place for you.

By going to each shop, you get entered to win rewards and prizes.

It’s being run by Destination Augusta and is free to play.

It’s meant to show both visitors and locals what our coffee houses have to offer.

“I think both locals and visitors have a difficult time finding something that is unique to the area that they’re in. So, Destination Augusta just loves to highlight those ways that we shine as a place where local businesses can thrive. The thing that we can do to support that is by sending people their way,” said Sarah Childers with Destination Augusta.

For every coffee shop you visit, you get a sticker.

At your fifth stop, you earn an “I love Augusta” mug, which you can redeem at Destination Augusta’s location on Broad Street.

Salvation Army of Augusta partner to host Spring Cleaning Drive

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – You can make a clean sweep for a good cause. Salvation Army of Augusta is teaming up with Doc’s Porchside for its Spring Cleaning Drive.

In March, you can donate cleaning supplies for the Center of Hope. Items needed are laundry detergent pods, disinfecting wipes, dish detergent and paper towels.

The Salvation Army says those needs can go a long way.

“We need help keeping our facility clean for our clients and they do their laundry with us as well. So, that’s what we need help with to make sure our place is clean and good for our clients to stay,” said Janelys Villalta, marketing director.
