It hasn’t been the begin to the 2022 season that almost all of us had been anticipating.  Getting into their sixth sequence of the younger season on Tuesday evening, the Atlanta Braves had been nonetheless on the lookout for their first sequence win.

This in itself isn’t precisely alarming information, however when you think about that the Braves have misplaced dwelling sequence to the Nationals and Marlins and opened the season by splitting 4 video games with the 3-13 (heading into play on Tuesday) Cincinnati Reds, that undoubtedly raises the trigger for concern.

The Braves turned to Max Fried on Tuesday to attempt to get the Cubs sequence off to a very good begin.  Fried was coming off a dominant begin towards the Dodgers during which he was good by 5 innings and tossed seven shutout innings towards a loaded Dodgers lineup.

And whereas Stroman put collectively a high quality begin towards the Braves, this sport belonged to Max Fried and the Atlanta Braves.

The Atlanta Braves beat the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday evening to enhance to 8-10.

The Braves bought the scoring began within the backside of the second.  After back-to-back singles by Ozuna and d’Arnaud to open the inning, Alex Dickerson and Adam Duvall contributed a pair of sac flies to maneuver Ozuna across the basepaths and provides the Braves a 1-0 lead after two.

Ian Happ tied the sport up within the prime of the third with a solo dwelling run and the sport would keep tangled up at one till the underside of the fifth.

Demeritte and the fan celebrated the house run by sharing a excessive 5 on his method again to the dugout, which was a extremely cool second that almost definitely neither one among them will ever overlook.

Again-to-back singles from Swanson and Albies coupled with a Cubs’ error would tally one other run and the Braves had been within the driver’s seat up 3-1 heading into the sixth inning.

Fried labored a simple one-two-three prime of the sixth inning after which turned the sport over to the bullpen with a two-run lead.

Ex Atlanta Falcons Fan Favorite WR Signs with San Francisco 49ers

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Former Atlanta Falcons receiver Frank Darby has found a new home.

Darby, a sixth-round pick in 2021 who became a fan favorite due to his energy and infectious smile, has signed a one-year contract to join the San Francisco 49ers, ESPN insider Adam Schefter reported Saturday.

As a rookie, Darby played in 10 games, but was primarily used on special teams. He saw 126 snaps in the game’s third phase compared to just 20 on offense. He caught one pass for 14 on yards on four targets.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Darby took the field only five times in 2022 but received a significant uptick in offensive snaps, taking 54 reps. Still, he was targeted only once, making the catch for a 15-yard gain.

In training camp 2023, Darby appeared to take a step forward. Then-receivers coach T.J. Yates said he was coming into his own, and both Yates and teammate Mack Hollins referred to Darby as the “juice man.”

But Darby suffered a soft tissue injury in the Falcons’ preseason opener against the Miami Dolphins and was cut shortly thereafter. Still, his time in Atlanta wasn’t done – two months later, he returned to the team’s practice squad.

The former Arizona State University standout appeared in one game — a Week 10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals — and played 12 special teams snaps. He spent the remainder of the year on the practice squad.

Now in San Francisco, Darby rejoins former Sun Devil teammate Brandon Aiyuk in the 49ers’ receiver room. The Falcons, meanwhile, have a new-look receiving core around Drake London, with Darnell Mooney, Rondale Moore and Ray-Ray McCloud III among several fresh faces.
