Conway’s Lamar inducted into Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame

The Arkansas Jazz Heritage Basis and The Outdated State home Museum will associate to current the 2022 Arkansas Jazz Corridor of Fame induction ceremony from 8-10 p.m. June 20 on the museum, 300 W. Markham St. in Little Rock.

This historic occasion, which is open to the general public, will honor new inductees into the Arkansas Jazz Corridor of Fame. Inductees embrace Conway’s Jackie Lamar in addition to TeRoy Betton Jr., Irene Crutchfield Brown, Invoice Craig and Ken Walker.

Lamar is retired from the College of Central Arkansas the place she was professor of saxophone and jazz for 32 years. She holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Saxophone Efficiency and Grasp of Music Schooling from the College of North Texas and a Bachelor of Music Schooling from the College of Central Arkansas.

Lamar has performed quite a few Arkansas All-Area Jazz Bands and performed the Arkansas All State Second Jazz Band in 2004. At UCA, she performed Jazz Ensembles and coached the UCA Dixieland Band.

In retirement, Lamar is having fun with performing for musicals and exhibits. She continues to carry out on soprano saxophone with the Arkansas Saxophone Quartet and is bassoonist with Central Arkansas Chamber Winds.

The No. 21 Missouri Tigers enter their final regular season game with the least injury questions than they have had for most other games since the beginning of November.

But, there was a few new additions to the team’s availability report ahead of the Week 14 game against Arkansas. Below is the full availability report for the Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Beginning 1 January 2025, this collaboration is aimed at bolstering the paediatric care organisation’s commitment to improving service and care for patients and their families.
