One person dead after shooting in Hamden
One person has died after a shooting on Saturday morning in Hamden.
At around 11:30 a.m., Hamden Police responded to the area of 500 Mix Avenue after reports of a gunshot wound victim.
Upon arrival, officers located an individual who was unresponsive inside a motor vehicle. The victim was then transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, where they later died due to their injuries.
The victim had gone to the area of the shooting to meet with an unknown individual.
While the victim was there, three unknown suspects approached the car. One of the suspects entered the car and shot the victim while the remaining suspects fired shots at the vehicle.
All three suspects fled the scene on foot.
Police are investigating this scene as a homicide.
There is no known threat to the public at this time.

House destroyed after fire in Tolland
Fire crews were dispatched to Bonair Hill Rd for a structure fire around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
When they arrived, the single-family home was fully involved, according to Town Manager Brian Foley.
Foley said in a post on Facebook that an adult male was outside on the property in serious medical distress and was transported to Rockville hospital. He also mentions that several family members got out safely and were staying at a neighbor’s house.
The home was completely destroyed, and the town staff and Red Cross are working to ensure the displaced family has access to any needed services, Foley said.
Local CT State Fire Marshals are on scene investigating the incident.

Dave Matthews Band announces Connecticut show
HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Dave Matthews Band’s U.S. tour will make a stop in Connecticut this summer.
The band scheduled a show for July 25, 2026 at The Meadows Music Theatre in Hartford, Live Nation announced on Tuesday.
The band’s tour starts on June 10 in New York and wraps up Labor Day weekend in Washington State.
Online ticket presale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association started Tuesday at 9 a.m.
