Kansas City award-winning champagne bar closing, for now
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A popular Kansas City bar, named as one of the best in the country to enjoy a glass of champagne, announced plans to close.
The Champagne Bureau, USA, named Ça Va to the coveted list in October.
The bar will mark it’s 10th anniversary in Westport next month. Instead of celebrating, Ça Va is planning to temporarily close.
The bar’s owners say they will continue to pour champagne, but are also planning to offer an international menu that includes a larger selection of food and beverages.

Ça Va will celebrate it’s 10th anniversary March 1-3, before closing on March 9th.
A reopening date has not yet been announced.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two men were arrested following a lengthy Reno County Sheriff’s Office investigation into several burglaries and thefts in the area.
Garson Stanley Boyles was arrested May 21, and Jimmy Ray Miller was arrested May 27. Both were arrested on suspicion of 11 counts of burglary, five counts of criminal damage to property and four counts of theft.
The sheriff’s office said numerous stolen items have been recovered, including a vehicle. Investigators said several items remain missing.
