Sue Heston, age 84, of Monroe, Iowa, handed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Pella Regional Well being Heart in Pella, Iowa. Sue was born on February 3, 1938 in Grapeland, Texas to John L. and Lucy J. (Brimberry) Prestridge. She was raised in Montalba, Texas and graduated from Palestine Excessive Faculty within the class of 1956. She labored at a clothes retailer in Dallas, Texas whereas dwelling along with her sister, Faye. It was in Dallas the place she fell in love with an Air Pressure man from Iowa, Doyle Heston. Throughout Doyle’s two years within the service abroad, he continued to ship endearing letters to Sue. Upon his return, they have been married at Montalba Baptist Church on August 10, 1958. The newlyweds moved 5 miles south of Fairfield, Iowa to the Heston farm the place they established their residence. In 1988, they moved from the farm into Fairfield the place Sue held part-time jobs at Bond Christian Bookstore, 3D Cellphone Store, and Fairfield Faculty District – Meals Service. In 2004, they retired and moved to Palestine, Texas.
After Doyle’s loss of life in 2005, Sue returned to Fairfield the next 12 months. She was a member of the Fairfield Mates Church in Fairfield, Iowa, and later the First Baptist Church in Monroe, Iowa. Sue spent her life serving others and faithfully spreading God’s love. She was a prolific reader and an avid Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune fan. Sue regarded ahead to household instances which all the time included recreation taking part in akin to Scrabble, Duck, Yahtzee, and Skip-Bo, these resulted in a lot of laughter and have been a few of her favourite recollections. Her biggest pleasure was caring for and being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sue is survived by her 4 kids: Sherri (Steve) Aldeman of Iowa Metropolis, Iowa, Phil (Cathy) Heston of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, Mark (Kara) Heston of Ankeny, Iowa, and Matt (Tammy) Heston of Monroe, Iowa; her ten grandchildren: Josh (Stacey) McReynolds of Fairfield, Iowa, Adam (Mandi) McReynolds of Ankeny, Ely Heston of Ankeny, Carter Heston of Florence, Alabama, Abigail Heston of Kansas Metropolis, Missouri, Ellie Backes of Ankeny, Alexandra Heston of Ankeny, Libbie Backes of Ankeny, Connor Heston and Courtney Heston of Monroe; her 4 great-grandchildren: Ethan McReynolds, Ava McReynolds, Nora McReynolds and Zula Backes; and two of her siblings: John Dale Prestridge of New Braunfels, Texas and Margie “Boots” Turner of Sulphur Springs, Texas. She was preceded in loss of life by her dad and mom; her husband of 47 years, Doyle Heston; and her siblings: William, Ruby, and Faye.

A burial service will probably be at Memorial Garden Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa instantly following the funeral service. Pallbearers will probably be her grandchildren, Josh McReynolds, Adam McReynolds, Ely Heston, Carter Heston, Abigail Heston, Ellie Backes, Alexandra Heston, Libbie Backes, Connor Heston, and Courtney Heston.
