Police: 1 arrested for stabbing and killing father and son in Bedford


BEDFORD, Ohio (WOIO) – Bedford police arrested a suspect for stabbing and killing a person and his son early Saturday morning.

Officers arrived at a home on Magnolia Avenue at 8:50 a.m. after receiving studies of a person bleeding from the top, in line with a division press launch.

Officers discovered a 47-year-old man and a 19-year-old man on the bottom who suffered stab wounds, the discharge stated.

Officers confirmed the 19-year-old was pronounced useless on the scene. The 47-year-old man was transported to a neighborhood hospital, the place he later died from his accidents.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner recognized the 47-year-old as Christopher Pate and the 19-year-old as Christopher Pate. 19 Information confirmed the connection between the 2 victims.

Police discovered and arrested the suspect shortly after attending to the scene. Officers confirmed the suspect was transported to the Solon Jail.

The suspect has not but been recognized and officers haven’t confirmed any costs.

Fifth Third Bank picks new president for northern Ohio


CLEVELAND, Ohio – Fifth Third Bank has hired a new president for its northern Ohio market.

Matt Nipper has been promoted to president of Fifth Third’s northern Ohio region, which includes Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Toledo and Youngstown. He takes the place of Tom Partridge, who is now group regional president at Cincinnati-based Fifth Third (Nasdaq: FITB), which is the 11th-largest U.S.-based consumer bank.

Nipper had been Cleveland market president since he joined Fifth Third in April before taking on the larger role.
