Washington Wizards vs Cleveland Cavaliers Live Stream: How to Watch NBA
The Cleveland Cavaliers look to sweep this series against the Washington Wizards in the last game of the regular season on Sunday.
The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Washington Wizards for the season series finale on Sunday night. The Wizards are in free fall to end the 2025-26 season. Washington is trying to avoid losing 10 in a row in the final game of the season. The Wizards have lost five in a row on the road and have won only one game since Feb. 22. That is a record of 1-25 and ensures that Washington will finish the season with at least 64 losses for the third year in a row. The Wizards will finish the season with the worst record in the league, regardless of what happens against Cleveland.
The Cavaliers are trying to bounce back from a loss against the Atlanta Hawks that ended a four-game winning streak. Cleveland is locked into the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Cleveland won the series against Washington, winning Game 3 on Feb. 11 in a 138-113 blow out at home. Sam Merrill scored a career-high 32 points and Donovan Mitchell was right behind him with 30. It was also James Harden’s debut in front of the Cavs’ faithful, and he scored 13 points and added 11 assists.

The Cavs are coming off a 124-102 loss against the Hawks in the second game of a home-and-home series in Atlanta on Friday. The Cavs won at home on Wednesday in the first game of the back-to-back, 122-116, to extend their winning streak to four. But that offense didn’t translate on Friday on the road in a third quarter that turned the game around. Atlanta outscored Cleveland 35-17 after the half and never looked back. CJ McCollum led all scorers with 29 points and helped the Hawks clinch a playoff spot and the Southeast Division. Harden led the Cavs with 20 points, and Cleveland got good news with the return of Jaylon Tyson after missing 10 games by scoring 15 points.
The Wizards officially clinched the NBA’s worst record in their last game in a 140-117 loss on Friday. Washington is now the first team in the history of the NBA to lose 64 or more in three straight seasons. The Wizards got within four points late in the third quarter, but Miami went on a 13-3 run to reestablish its comfortable lead. Bub Carrington had a standout performance with a game-high 30 points, while Bilal Coulibaly added 25, 19 of which came in the first half.
