Dolphin Sightings Reported In Waters Off Connecticut
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Dolphins have been spotted over the past couple of weeks off the Connecticut shore in Long Island Sound in Bridgeport and Clinton, the Connecticut Post and The Day reported.
The sea creatures often swim in Northeastern waters, but according to Boston.com, an “unprecedented” number of bottlenose dolphins have recently been stranded throughout the Northeast region.
In Bridgeport last week, Glenn Katz, and his father, Gary Katz, recently spotted Dolphins while fishing near Middle Ground in Long Island Sound, the Post reported.
While known to swim in the area, dolphin sightings are not common, and boaters should hang back to avoid scaring them, according to experts.
