Wizards End 23 Year Losing Streak

SAN ANTONIO-The Washington Wizards hit the street to tackle the San Antonio Spurs for the fourth recreation of their five-game street journey. This recreation was the primary recreation of the season sequence between San Antonio and Washington. The Wizards defeated the Pelicans 113-103 of their final recreation to win their fifth straight contest.

Towards the Pelicans, Daniel Gafford led the way in which with a team-high 21 factors and 12 rebounds for the Wizards. Bradley Beal (16 factors), Deni Avdija (15 factors), and Kendrick Younger (12 factors) helped push the Wizards to the win over the Pelicans. For the Pelicans, CJ McCollum scored a game-high 24 factors with 5 rebounds. Brandon Ingram scored 22 factors and grabbed six rebounds within the loss.

Monday evening’s recreation would see the Wizards lengthen their profitable streak to 6 video games with a 127-106 over San Antonio. Washington gained their first recreation in San Antonio since December 1999, a complete of 8,451 days. Washington was down early, however with 7:32 left within the second quarter Kyle Kuzma would put Washington up on the rating board for good. Deni Avdija had a team-high 25 factors whereas grabbing 9 rebounds. Bradley Beal (21 factors), Kristaps Porzingis (17 factors) and Kyle Kuzma (16 factors) helped lead the Wizards to victory.

For the Spurs, Keldon Johnson had the game-high 26 factors, and Jeremy Sochan (17 factors) and Zach Collins (16 factors and 11 rebounds) had stable performances within the loss.

The Wizards will journey to Detroit to tackle the Pistons on Wednesday, February 1st at 7:00 PM EST from Little Caesars Enviornment.
