SALT LAKE CITY — Deliberate Parenthood of Utah filed a lawsuit Saturday aiming to dam S.B. 174, or Utah’s set off legislation.

Utah’s set off legislation, which bans most abortions within the state, took impact Friday night after the U.S. Supreme Courtroom overturned Roe v. Wade earlier within the day.

S.B. 174 was handed by the Utah State Legislature in 2020. It bans abortion typically within the state. The few exceptions embrace circumstances of incest, rape and sure medical emergencies. This was contingent on a U.S Supreme Courtroom resolution on the matter, which got here Friday.
