Two minor injuries reported when Hyde Street cable car derails in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO — Authorities in San Francisco have been on the scene of a derailment of a Hyde Avenue cable automotive Wednesday night that reportedly led to 2 minor accidents.
In keeping with San Francisco police, at round 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving a Muni car within the space of Hyde and Washington. Police stated arriving officers discovered that the Muni car — later confirmed to be the Hyde Avenue cable automotive — was concerned in a “solo collision the place it derailed.”
Video from the scene of the incident posted to the Citizen App appeared to point out the cable automotive off the tracks and surrounded by first responders and SFMTA upkeep staff, although the SFMTA had but to launch any info on the incident save for a tweet that stated the Hyde cable automotive line was delayed at Washington as a consequence of “a Muni-involved collision.”
Whereas police stated solely the 2 Muni operators have been on board on the time and there was no report of accidents, the San Francisco Fireplace Division advised KPIX there have been two minor accidents associated to the incident.
