DULZURA, Calif. – Crews with the California Division of Forestry and Hearth Safety are battling a 65-acre brush hearth east of San Diego, authorities stated.

CalFire officers had initially reported the hearth was spreading at a sluggish price of pace and that 5 acres had been burned as of 6:30 p.m. Round 7:45 p.m., nevertheless, Thomas Shoots with CalFire advised FOX 5 that the hearth, which originated close to Freeway 94 and Freezer Highway, had unfold to twenty acres. Only one hour later, officials said on Twitter that the hearth’s acreage had tripled to simply over 65 acres.
