EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) – U.S. Highway 62/180 remains closed between El Paso and New Mexico as hazardous weather conditions continue to impact the region.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, TxDOT crews are actively monitoring conditions and treating and patrolling roadways throughout the district.

Officials say updates are being shared through the agency’s X account as conditions change.

The complete closure affects U.S. 62/180 eastbound and westbound from Mile 46 to Mile 148.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes, as no estimated time for reopening has been provided.

Additional closures remain in effect, including:

  • FM 1111 to the state line
  • State Highway 54 to the state line
