DENVER — Very large, destructive hail up to baseball size, is possible in the Denver metro and across eastern Colorado Thursday as yet another round of severe weather is expected to hit the state.

6:39 p.m. | Severe thunderstorm warning | A severe thunderstorm warning continues for Adams County until 7 p.m. The storm will contain tennis ball-sized hail, the NWS says.
5:55 p.m. | Severe thunderstorm warning | A severe thunderstorm warning for north central Douglas County in northeastern Colorado and Central Jefferson County until 6:30 p.m.
5:43 p.m. | Flash flooding warning | Flash flooding is expected east of Denver International Airport due to this slow-moving storm. The NWS says people should avoid crossing flooded roadways.
5:42 p.m. | Flash flood warning | A flash flood warning is in effect for Bennett and Watkins until 8:45 p.m., according to the NWS.
5:14 p.m. | Severe weather on I-70 | A severe thunderstorm is on its way with up to 3-inch diameter hail and 70 mph between Watkins and Strasburg. The storm is moving east-northeast over the area over the next half-hour. “This is a destructive storm,” the NWS says.

4:45 p.m. | Cancellations and delays at DIA | As of 4:45 p.m. Thursday, there were 656 delays, according to FlightAware, and 174 cancellations.
4:35 p.m. | Cancellations and delays at DIA | There are 111 delays and 13 cancellations at DIA due to weather, according to FlightAware’s Misery Map.
4:29 p.m. | Severe thunderstorm warning | Aurora, DIA and Bennett are now under a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:15 p.m., per the NWS.
4:22 p.m. | Reports of flooding in Denver | The NWS says there are “quite a few” reports of flooding in and around Denver, including on area interstates. They advise people to avoid the roads if possible as the storm moves through.
4:07 p.m. | Flash flood warning | A flash flood warning is in effect for Lakewood and Wheat Ridge as well as Edgewater until 6 p.m., according to the NWS.
3:52 p.m. | Heavy ran along I-25 | Denver7’s Bayan Wang reports heavy rain is falling along I-25.

3:10 p.m. | Severe thunderstorm warning | Southwest Denver and Northern Jefferson Counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 4:30 p.m. for a storm located near Red Rocks Park, 14 miles west of Denver, according to the NWS.
3:10 p.m. | Weather | Strong storms are on their way to Denver and may become severe as they move east, according to the National Weather Service.
