RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. (AP) — Marymount California College, a half-century-old non-public Catholic establishment, will shut this summer season, its board of trustees introduced.

The liberal arts college situated on the Palos Verdes Peninsula south of Los Angeles has been struggling lately because of declining enrollment, rising prices and the coronavirus pandemic, the college mentioned in a press release Friday.

“This choice was not made calmly. However we felt probably the most compassionate factor to do was to offer everybody time to make plans. Our focus now will likely be to assist our college students, school and employees,” mentioned Brian Marcotte, the college’s president.
