California’s Grant Newell was named Pac-12 Males’s Basketball Freshman of the Week, offered by Nextiva, for December 26, 2022. Newell helped lead the Golden Bears to their first victory of the season with 9 factors, three assists and two rebounds in 73-51 victory over UT-Arlington.
