Chandler approves construction of diamond fields at Tumbleweed Park

PHOENIX — Chandler Metropolis Council not too long ago handed out a contract for diamond fields at Tumbleweed Park, paving the best way for development to start.

Metropolis Council awarded Hunter Contracting Co. the rights to construct the Tumbleweed Park Diamond Discipline Advanced on Feb. 23, based on a press launch.

The complicated will likely be 31 acres and have 4 lighted synthetic turf diamond fields, 420 parking areas, restrooms, landscaping and seating.

The entire price of the venture — development will get underway in April — will likely be round $20 million.

Funding will come from town price range.

Tumbleweed Park is positioned on the southwest nook of Germann and McQueen roads.
