A magnitude 5.4 earthquake shook the Kenai Peninsula and different elements of Southcentral Alaska early Sunday morning.
The quake, which occurred at 7:06 a.m., was centered about 13 miles west of Homer, based on the U.S. Geological Survey, within the waters close to the place Cook dinner Inlet and Kachemak Bay meet.
