NFL legend JJ Watt roasts himself during Steelers-Browns broadcast

NFL legend J.J. Watt took the opportunity to roast himself during the CBS broadcast of a Week 6 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
The broadcast featured a photo of Watt from when he was in the trenches with the Wisconsin Badgers. The photo that was shown was from Wisconsin’s media day in 2008. He was unable to play that season after he transferred to the school from Central Michigan.

Play-by-play broadcaster Ian Eagle asked Watt, “What exactly was going on?”
“Oh my gosh! I was fat, and I had a weird facial-hair situation going on. … I (didn’t) know how to tie a tie. I have a chinstrap going on,” Watt said. “That is a bad look. A lot of Mickies Dairy Bar in my system.”
Watt played two seasons with the Badgers, recording 11.5 sacks in 26 games. He entered the NFL Draft after the 2010 season and the Houston Texans made him the No. 11 overall selection.

He went on to become one of the greatest players in Texans history and is likely to become a Hall of Famer once he’s eligible.
For now, Watt can be heard on the CBS broadcast. Sunday wasn’t the only time this season his appearance has been mentioned. The former defensive lineman debuted a new hairstyle. CBS called it “feathered and lethal.”

Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers had 235 passing yards and two touchdown passes as the Steelers defeated the Browns 23-9. DK Metcalf and Connor Heyward had the touchdown grabs.

Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. channeled a Canadian sports hero prior to Game 7 of the World Series on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Guerrero was spotted walking into the Rogers Center with the jersey of Canadian women’s hockey star Marie-Philip Poulin. The slugging first baseman appeared to be locked in as he walked into the stadium to prepare for the biggest game of his career.

Poulin has four Olympic gold medals to her name. She helped Team Canada to wins in 2010, 2014 and 2022. Canada won a silver medal in 2018. She also has four gold medals in the world championships. She currently plays in the Professional Women’s Hockey League for the Montreal Victoire.
She reacted on her Instagram Stories to Guerrero’s nod.
“Wow,” she wrote with a tearful emoji. “Let’s go Blue Jays!”

Dolphins part ways with general manager Chris Grier amid disastrous season
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
The Miami Dolphins and general manager Chris Grier announced Friday that they have mutually agreed parted ways.
The decision comes less than 24 hours after the Dolphins suffered a 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. The Dolphins dropped to 2-7 with the loss.
Grier, 55, has been with the Dolphins organization since 2000 and served as the team’s general manager since 2016.
Champ Kelly, the Dolphins’ senior personnel executive, was named the interim general manager.
“This morning, I made the decision along with general manager Chris Grier to mutually part ways. I have incredible respect for Chris and his family, and I want to thank him for his many contributions to the Miami Dolphins over the last 26 years,” Dolphins managing general partner Stephen M. Ross said in a statement.
“As I assessed the state of the team and in my discussions with Chris, it became clear to both of us that change could not wait. We must improve — in 2025, 2026 and beyond — and it needs to start right now. Champ Kelly will serve as interim general manager effective immediately, and we will begin our search process for a new general manager. I want to thank Champ for stepping up and his commitment to the Dolphins success this season. There is a lot of football left to play and we all need to fight even harder.”
In Grier’s 10 years as general manager, he had a 77-80 record with three playoff appearances. They made the playoffs in 2016, 2022, and 2023, and lost in the Wild Card round all three times.
The Dolphins finished 8-9 last season despite quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missing six games due to injury, instilling optimism that they could rally and make the playoffs this season, but that has not been the case.
The team has shown some fight and been in some close games, but also sustained three losses of over 20 points so far this season.
The Dolphins next game is at home against the Buffalo Bills (5-2) on Sunday, Nov. 9.
