Teen dies in crash near Placentia high school

A teen is dead after a two-car crash in Placentia Tuesday morning.

Just after 8:15 a.m., the teen’s vehicle and another vehicle collided at Yorba Linda Boulevard and Valencia Avenue, according to the Placentia Fire and Life Safety Department and KTLA’s Chip Yost.

The minor was trapped inside the vehicle with major injuries, and they were declared dead at a local hospital. The passenger in that vehicle was able to escape the car and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The other vehicle contained a 39-year-old woman and two children. None of them sustained life-threatening injuries.

The location of the crash is near El Dorado High School and Wagner Elementary School, and it’s believed that the teen who died was a student at the high school, though their identity has not been released.
