A fireplace in Fullerton led to avenue closures and evacuations Saturday afternoon.

Valencia Avenue was closed from Euclid Avenue to Brookhurst Highway, and Commonwealth Avenue was closed from Basque Avenue to Euclid Avenue, the Fullerton Police Division announced on Twitter.

“Evacuations have been made and Fullerton Hearth is on scene. Please keep away from the realm,” the division added.

Shortly earlier than 5 p.m., the Fullerton Fire Department introduced that the fireplace was out and Commonwealth Avenue had reopened, although Valencia Avenue remained closed.
