Driver hits pole after being shot in Vermont Square neighborhood

A person driving within the Vermont Sq. neighborhood of South Los Angeles was hospitalized Thursday night time after he was struck by gunfire from one other car.

Emergency crews referred to as to the intersection of West Vermont Avenue and Figueroa Avenue round 11 p.m. positioned a car that had crashed into a close-by mild pole, a Los Angeles Police Division spokesperson stated.

A witness stated she heard 4 photographs and went to assist the sufferer after his car crashed.

“When he crashed into this pole, that’s after I ran over and began yanking it open to verify he began speaking to me, and I knew he was OK then,” witness Madonna Smarr stated.
