A grandmother recently celebrated a milestone birthday by shaking it off at Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.”

Nancy Strong is a travel agency CEO from Dallas, Texas, who has been a major “Swiftie” for the past 10 years.

Strong told Fox News Digital this week that her love for the pop star began in 2009 when Kanye West famously interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the VMAs.

“She handled that situation with such grace, and I have looked up to her ever since,” she said.

The 90-year-old business owner said she relates to Swift in many ways, despite their roughly 55-year age difference.

“She was brought up in Redding, Pennsylvania, where I raised five boys in the ’60s — [it] will always have a special place in my heart,” she said in an email to Fox News Digital.

For her milestone 90th birthday, Strong said she wanted to celebrate in a big way by seeing Taylor Swift perform on the “Eras Tour.”

She said, “I wanted to celebrate my 90th dancing to Taylor Swift!”

Swift made a stop in Paris, France, earlier this summer — so Strong took her granddaughter, Jennifer Strong, with her to Europe.

Jennifer Strong, 32, told Fox News Digital that experiencing the concert with her grandmother was “pure magic.”

“As with everyone who attends, Grammy was in complete awe of Taylor and couldn’t help but immediately start dancing and singing along,” she said.

She added, “They are truly memories I will cherish forever.”

The pair then made it to one of Swift’s London, England, shows in late June — making Nancy Strong a Swiftie who has seen the singer more than once on the highly sought after tour.

Nancy Strong said her favorite Taylor Swift song is “The Man” from her 2019 “Lover” album due to the relatability she feels with the lyrics.

“I am a woman who started a business in the 1970s in a male-oriented world, ‘wondering if I could get there quicker if I was a man.’ These lyrics really hit home for me,” she told Fox News Digital.

The successful businessperson has also been married to her husband, Ace Strong, for 70 years — and said she likes the “Lover” album as it reminds her of their true love.

“Trust me, I know it’s a lot of years, but at the end of the day, [my] heart is still 20 years old.”

Jennifer Strong said that watching her grandmother listen to “The Man” at the “Eras Tour” was a “full-circle moment.”

“Grammy has always represented to me what it means to be a hardworking, positive, and total boss lady in her industry! (Just like Taylor!),” she said via email.

Nancy Strong said she hopes to attend one of Swift’s U.S. tour dates later this year with her granddaughter.

“I know when Jen [Strong] looks back at our time at ‘The Eras Tour’ concert, she will be grinning from ear to ear — and that fulfills my heart,” she added.

A gutsy teenager at a Texas snow cone stand put an adult woman in her place after she was called a derogatory name over a $6 misunderstanding.

A viral video captured the interaction between two teenage girls, who were working at Keke’s Snow Balls in Willis, Texas, on Saturday, and an adult woman, dressed in a floral shirt and sunglasses.

The woman is seen approaching the window at the local shop and complained that she had prepaid $6, so her daughter could come by at a later time to pick up a snow cone.

“I came up here by myself and I paid for a snow cone plus six extra dollars, so when she wanted a snow cone she could come up here and get it,” the adult woman is heard saying in the video, which has racked up over 15 million views on TikTok. “Y’all didn’t give her the snow cone.”

“I need my $6 back,” she demands.

The 17-year-old manager, who witnessed the strained interaction between her coworker and the woman, walks up to the counter, opens the cash register and hands $6 to the dissatisfied customer.

“Here you go,” the teen is heard saying while handing the woman her money back.

As the adult is walking off, the teen closes the ordering window, knocking down a wooden sign on the exterior counter.

The teen did not miss a beat and quickly put the older woman in her place.

“Ma’am, please don’t act like that. You’re a grown woman! You’re a grown woman — I’m 17,” the girl said. “Get out of here. Don’t come back. Don’t come back. We don’t need your business.”

In the video’s caption, the company said that it rarely has the opportunity to “highlight mistreatment to staff.”

“I am proud of our supervisor’s handling of the situation. While businesses often face complaints, it’s rare to highlight mistreatment of staff,” the local business wrote. “We have permission from our employee’s parents to post this, with the customer’s face blurred out.”

“We must strive for better behavior and respect in all interactions,” they added.

UCLA student sexually assaulted in dorm room, suspect at large

A suspect remains at large after a student was sexually assaulted while she was sleeping in her dorm room at the University of California, Los Angeles.

The incident happened early Friday at around 2:40 a.m. as the female student was sleeping in her room located in the Saxon Suites, according to the UCLA Police Department.

The suspect entered the student’s room and sexually assaulted her while she was in bed, officials said. He then ran out of the building and fled the area in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s. He has a heavy set build, a curly beard and was last seen wearing all-black clothing and a beanie.

It’s unclear how the man was able to enter the dorm room or the building. The victim was medically treated at the scene.

Students were alerted of the assault Friday morning and many said they now feel uneasy.

“They sent the police report saying a girl was assaulted while sleeping which is very frightening, especially for me as a young woman,” said Chantal de la Cruz, a UCLA student. “I’ve been living here for a year and the [crime] reports we usually get are burglary reports and they’re outside of the campus, so this is a huge shock for everybody. A lot of students don’t feel safe.”

Tips from UCLA police to stay safe on campus include:

  • Always be alert and aware of your surroundings
  • Report any suspicious activity to the police
  • Do not leave doors to buildings propped open
  • Secure your residence by locking all windows and doors
  • Avoid poorly lit or deserted areas when walking at night
  • Utilize the UCLA Safe Ride Service and UCPD CSO evening escorts
  • Callin 911 for emergencies or UCLA PD’s 24-hour line at 310-825-1491

The incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call UCLAPD at 310-825-1491. Anonymous tips can be provided by calling 310-794-5824.

Mother of 'Angel Baby Doe' charged more than 20 years after newborn found dead on side of road in Texas

A Texas woman has been charged more than two decades after her newborn baby was found dead and abandoned on the side of a road, authorities said Tuesday.

Shelby Stotts was indicted for second-degree manslaughter after she was identified as the child’s mother through DNA enhancement technology in the cold case.

“After more than twenty years, we are closer to securing justice for Angel Baby Doe and ensuring that the person responsible for this tragedy is held accountable,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement. “I am thankful for our investigators’ talent and tenacity, and I commend the law enforcement professionals with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office for their dedication to uncovering the truth.”

Stotts, 48, abandoned the baby girl, dubbed “Angel Baby Doe,” in November 2001, Ken Paxton said in a news release. She failed to seek “prompt medical care” after giving birth and failed to clamp the baby’s umbilical cord, which caused the child to bleed to death, authorities said.

The lifeless newborn was found wrapped in a jacket on the side of a road between the towns of Alvarado and Burleson, 20 miles south of Fort Worth, with the umbilical cord still attached.

Because of the circumstances surrounding the child’s death, detectives determined the death to be the result of foul play, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said.

In June 2021, the sheriff’s office enlisted forensic-grade genome sequencing from Othram, a DNA lab based in the Houston suburb of The Woodlands that helps law enforcement tackle cold cases using genetic science.

A genealogy team traced the child’s familial connections and ultimately identified her mother as Stotts.

The case marks the fifteenth Texas cold case solved through Othram’s DNA technology. Texas’ “Safe Haven Law” was enacted in 1999 and allows parents to drop off unwanted children at fire stations and hospitals for up to 60 days with no questions asked.

Stotts is being held on $100,000 bond.
